I'd certainly want to know about the vacant lot that sits right ABOVE Raquel's house that's currently for sale. If someone builds 'up' there, they're going to be looking directly down on this house.
The list price of this 14,000 sq ft lot is $50,000, so I'm thinking it must be a difficult build with lots of grading needed. .. The designated 10' driveway (unbuilt) to reach this lot from the street is just east of the neighbor's house.
I'd suggest that whoever buys Raquel's house approach the neighbor and split the cost to buy the vacant lot and divide it in two, or buy it themselves, if they can afford it. .. They can build a guest house for the pool boy to live in, so he's not always in their space when the gardener or personal assistant is there.

R31 There's currently a retaining wall at the back of the very narrow backyard. .. The pool is in the front yard.

Here's a video in front of the house, from early 2022. This "realtor" guy claims Raquel sold the house in 2017, and lived elsewhere nearby. However, Realtor.com doesn't list a sale since 2009? Anyway...that hillside behind the house seems a lot steeper than in the still photos.

I think the furnishings are staged and purposefully chosen not to distract buyers from the home’s layout and “bones”. The art and objects are bland probably by design.
The beige stuffed animals remind me of staged furnishings. We often see guitars placed in the corner of a bedroom, and things like these to dress up a space but not distract buyers.
In this home, the kitchen does look dated, but it’s an impressive home overall. I prefer square pools for some reason. The shrubbery is pretty gorgeous.

It's possible the shopping center was built on vacant land AFTER she bought the place. Which is why one should always perform due diligence and check out the owners and zoning of vacant land around the property you are thinking of buying.
Oh, and all those hedges - who trims them and how? - have a root fungus that one can't get rid of. Check out the. yellowing of the middle row. The dirt is now diseased and might be plant-able if you completely replace all the underlying soil. Those three rows of hedges will either be dead or look dead within two years.

That's what I thought at first but it's actually a bit far for an old considering you have to walk around to the front of the Center and coming back is uphill, as is the house lot itself. Plus you might be carrying groceries or a doggie bag for your 14 cats.

Welch's home overlooking the back of a strip mall reminds me of my former neighbor...
About 20 years ago, my neighbor decided to sell her house (she had been there for 40 years, since the day she was born) because she no longer wanted to 'live in the city' and pay high taxes (even though our neighborhood was / is very well maintained and quiet). So she bought a townhouse in a new cul-de-sac development, in the 'quiet suburbs'. She loved it - her 2 bedrooms were facing the back of her house, which overlooked her deck. Abutting the yard - about twenty feet away - was a golf course which was peaceful and quiet. I visited a couple of times back then, and it was very nice, secluded and quiet (but not for me).
About five years after she and her neighbors bought, they found out the golf course was sold to a 'developer'. The rumor was more cul-de-sacs with townhouses and condos / retirement living. They couldn't have been more wrong.
Now her two bedrooms and deck (and kitchen) no longer overlook a golf course - they over look the back of the Walmart SuperCenter. The development turned into a strip mall, complete with WalMart, Home Depot and other big box stores (many which have closed and the buildings are empty now). My former neighbor has complained of the noise from Walmart all hours of the night and early mornings - from dumpsters being emptied during the night to delivery trucks in and out of their loading docks. Not to mention the 'stadium lights' attached to the back of the building which shine in her bedroom all night long. Their HOA have complained to the town, but nothing can be done...the development is all legit; it's all fenced off from their development so they are breaking no rules. She - and a number of her neighbors - have been trying to sell their units, to no avail. They've marked them way down but no one wants to live abutting a WalMart.

Prior to buying the house at OP, Raquel owned a mansion on Hutton Drive in Beverly Crest, 1997-2005 (which she bought from Jeff Foxworthy). It's about two miles east of the place on Beverly Glen Circle. (driving distance; it's less "as-the-crow-flies")
