I was on the fence about watching this show, but now I will start watching. Apparently John Cena asked for the character to be bisexual. I loved him and his big ass in Trainwreck. I fully understand that this doesn't mean he's going to be making out with another guy any time soon.

They just wanna make gay jokes without being trashed for it, so they made him bi. I promise you there will not be any same-sex activity between two men that isn't played for laughs/wackiness.

^James Gunn's own description of why they made him bi is hardly progressive. He basically said the character is a hypersexual pervert like Quagmire from Family Guy. The show plays Peacemakers bisexuality for laughs and as a cover to make gay jokes without being called on it.
It's hilarious they're getting praised for this by the dummies at out.com
