there is no stardom in high school baseball.

[quote] high school baseball stardom

That is just bullshit. The story says he sat on the bench after he came out.

I try to be as sex positive as I can but still I find it silly how easily guys in gay community view open sexuality as something as casual as taking your dog for a walk. Do I really need to see every man in their underwear on social media? No I don't. Neither do I need to see them fucking online. Don't get me wrong, I'm totally into porn and hot guys, but still, it's a bit stupid that a porn-y lifestyle is getting more and more normal. And yes, I'm not a hottie myself and I'm middle-aged so that's probably why I'm not embacing porn as a lifestyle with open arms.

Eh, as long as he's actually gay I don't care what he does.

by Anonymousreply 6March 2, 2020 3:57 PM

Porn has jumped the shark. I don’t watch it anymore. What’s the point? It’s no longer a special think because it is everywhere.

by Anonymousreply 9March 2, 2020 4:15 PM

You have only two choices in life: baseball, or pornography. And THAT'S IT!

Wrong.

Baseball is one of the few major league sports where athletes are recruited out of high school to play. Most baseball players spend time in the minor leagues.

It's not like football or basketball where college is a showcase for talent. College football and basketball essentially IS minor league football and basketball, a clever system that makes it both cheaper for the professional teams and much more profitable. Minor league baseball makes a fraction of the money that college sports do.

R13 - I know, right? Let's see, what else do other 18 year olds do? Maybe college?

This is an insane choice.

Sean Cody's Brysen was a high school star wrestler apparently.

I'm not going to justify his decision, but is not inexplicable.

While the article says the father was a profession baseball player, he only played two seasons with the Angels, so didn't make millions.

In all likelihood, the father didn't put too much effort into school, so wouldn't have prioritized it for his son. If the son had been counting on baseball, he may not have had the grades or, more importantly, the foundation for going to college.

The article makes it sound like the father was not supportive after he came out. If the kid were actually tossed out for being gay (this was Tennessee), he would have viewed making porn the same way so many young people do, as easy money, without fully apprehending the consequences, personal or otherwise.

Yates' college coaches weren't that helpful to him either (circa 17:00).

R17 - and yet most people still do not do porn as their next step.

He wanted to do porn and used his mistreatment as an excuse.

Why would anyone do porn this day in age when there are lZERO barriers to entry now for the first time in history in so many sectors. There are no gatekeepers. There is no excuse for this unless you enjoy being exploited and are a sex addict with no scruples.

That was not the case 20 years ago.

They are throw away meat now, just use them and toss in the trash. It's a disposable society now and trashy porn guys are a dime a dozen, you can have your pick of all the fresh meat you want. I love it.

Did someone introduce him to porn, e.g. a boyfriend/pimp? I can see how having the rug pulled out from under him would make him more susceptible to an "accepting" environment like porn, particularly at a studio known for its stable of guys. Was he very depressed? The former TV journalist who went into porn - "Steven Lee" - recently came out about being in a depression for the entirety of last year, the same year that he went full force into porn.

by Anonymousreply 25March 2, 2020 6:22 PM

He looks like a FTM trans.

by Anonymousreply 27March 2, 2020 6:34 PM

I’m sorry, whut? He got benched and so became a porn “star.”? Lol. You bitches are you fucking much.

by Anonymousreply 28March 2, 2020 6:38 PM

It's a natural progression.

by Anonymousreply 30March 2, 2020 10:16 PM

R27 That is areal dick and not a snap on.

by Anonymousreply 31March 2, 2020 11:15 PM

Helps to listen to the link, although that Kiki guy is a terrible interviewer.

His father quickly became ok with him being gay. The porn happened because a 'recruiter" asked him if he was interested. His story is not the usual porn soap opera. He doesn't regret it but he knew when to walk away from it.

by Anonymousreply 33March 2, 2020 11:58 PM

R34, that’s shockingly hot and slutty.
