Saint Vivian looks eternally lovely and beatific.
I'd never seen a movie with both Eve Arden and St Vivian.
I wonder now what their relationship was and what was the occasion of this photo.

This was from the Danny Kaye musical, Let's Face it. The third woman was Edith Meiser, who played Mrs. Littlefield on I Love Lucy years later.

Thank you, R5, that's a quick and good answer.

I don't know what their relationship was, but I know they met once at The Brown Derby...
about the time of that distrubing incident Bill Holdent had with an over-zealous fan

Not a movie-OBC of "Let's Face It" by Cole Porter early forties. For all those ILL fans, it costarred character actress Edith Meisner, who appeared on a couple of ILL as Gale Gordon's wife, when he played Ricky's new boss and the new owner of the Tropicana.
Not one of Porter's better efforts, plot revolved around bored Military wives during WW2 who decide to turn the tables on their philandering husbands by having affairs with a couple of young enlisted men.
It was a star vehicle for Danny Kaye, who left for Hollywood shortly thereafter, not to return to Broadway until almost 30 years later in the execrable "Two by Two".
There was a truly execrable movie version of "LFI" sometime in the forties with Bob Hope in the Kaye role. It was ripped to shreds by the censors, and I believe the songs were all cut.
According to several Kaye biographies, Kaye and Arden had a passionate affair during the show. According to some friends of Kaye, he was prepared to leave his wife Sylvia for Arden, but she broke it off, leaving Kaye devastated. By all accounts, Arden was the love of his life.
Of course, the above might have been heavy bearding on their parts, as it is no secret that both of them have been suspected of being gay for many years. We've heard the stories about Kaye and Olivier (which I believe we're confirmed by both his widow and son). Not sure if any confirmation exists regarding Eve, but she has been the subject of rumors for years. Her husband of many years, actor Brooks West, was I believe a "protege" of Alfred Lunt (nuff said) and Brooks appeared on an episode of the MIL where, to put it bluntly, he was "the queeniest queen who ever queened".
Encores may want to consider "LFI" but I think the book is probably wildly creaky and outdated. There is one standout Porter song, "Let's Not Talk About Love".
You beat me to it R5.

Oh yes, Eve was a regular at Bea Benederet's "all gal" parties.
