Who watched this show? Lt. Dangle was as gay as a peach pit, and Johnson was a buxom slut, and Trudy was beyond stupid.
Junior (mustache and vest) and Jones (Black guy) were the real beef of the show.

I loved Reno 911. It's where I found Neicey Nash.

Don't forget Niecy Nash as the radiant Raineesha Williams.

And Dangle's ex-wife Debbie Dangle-Frost, who used to weigh 600lbs and keeps marrying gay guys who secretly fuck each other.

I loved the scene where Trudy threw food at her baby in the playpen like she was feeding a chicken.

They would have had sex with George Floyd, NOT KILL HIM!

And Terry, the little homo on roller-skates who gives tug-jobs on the roof of a taco joint for two dollars.

Is Nick Swardson gay in real life? He was pitch-perfect as Terry.
| by Anonymous | reply 8 | September 5, 2021 9:17 PM |
R8 Nick was also perfect in "Blades of Glory."

I loved Thomas Lennon's willingness to get naked.

I loved that series, it all seemed to be improvised. Dangle in those white go-go boots and teeny tiny shorts was great. The series was great, the movie sucked.

Kerry Kennedy Silver also played a number of the prostitutes as well. She was fucking amazing.

Because it's hard to be lovably stupid when you're armed like a military battalion and rob, rape and murder citizens at will and without repercussions.

Love the cheap PSAs they record every season, on topics ranging from elder abuse to date rape to Mexicans who steal cars and shoot road signs.
Johnson, in a flat tone of voice: "Are you telling me I got raped?"
Dangle, looking straight into camera: "...Yes."

Thomas Lennon was also willing to show skin (as much as CBS would allow) on the reboot of "The Odd Couple" a few years ago. He's very cute and very talented.

Season 7 aired last year, I watched it earlier this summer on the Roku channel.

Dangle never gets love or good sex, but he has a few interesting encounters.
He once got Jonesy to pity-fuck him in his new trailer as a housewarming gift. Dangle reportedly couldn't walk for a week afterward.
And he once got chloroformed and handcuffed by Terry the Prostitute during some consensual butt-play.

I watched the original version but haven't seen the revival yet. Reno had some of the most underrated comedic performances ever. Jim Dangle ( Thomas Lennon) and Deputy Raineesha Williams (Niecy Nash) were my favorites but all of the performances were very funny. The comedic chemistry the performers had with each other was phenomenal.

Because it's hard to be lovably stupid when you're facing sociopaths ready to kill you at the drop of a hat rather than just comply.

To follow up on R16, new episodes of Reno 911! are available FREE on the Roku Channel App - There's surprisingly many, many sub-channels on that app which show only ONE THING from the Johnny Carson Show, to Baywatch, to, Unsolved Mysteries. It's kind of crazy. The Reno eps are listed in their "Roku Originals" section.
But, since the new Reno episodes were originally made for failed streamer Quibi, they're only 6 minutes each. They're all good, don't get me wrong, but at 25 episodes that's only 2.5 hours of content. There's also a bunch more Quibi 6-min episode shows on Roku that I've heard some are pretty good.
And, more good news, Roku has ordered MORE episodes of Reno 911!but, bad news, the order is only 4 half-hours.

Totally underrated show. Most of my friends (then in our twenties) just loved it.
Funny, it couldn't air today. No fucking way. Which is just sad.

[quote]Funny, it couldn't air today
But it literally IS airing today, R21.
It's shown in reruns plenty on various Viacom owned cable channels (it's on Mtv2 quite often) AND it's available on HBOmax and Comedy Central streaming apps --- AND, as has been pointed out, NEW revival episodes are on the Roku Channel streaming app.
Sorry to burst your "kids these days" bubble.

LOL, R22. My bubble is not burst at all. If you think Reno 911 would be green lit today, you're insane. That's my bad. Should have distinguished between airing in reruns and being green lit.
Has nothing to do with kids these days. It has everything to do with TV buyers be scared of anything that might remotely (and hysterically) offend.

I love this show. Good news is the next batch of new episodes are back to being 30 min each, not that 6 min crap on Quibi.
