This case gets freakier by the minute. In spite of spending her days being tortured, starved and chained to a bed she was a youtube celebrity? šµ

Well, you never know when TLC may come knocking to offer you a reality show!

Something about this case makes me think we arenāt getting the full story.

We have all seen what they look like, so why blur the pics this late in the story?

I practice in this area of law R4 and I am sorry to say that it would be unusual if that kind of conduct had not happened.

Maybe she was the sexually abused āfavouriteā child and in return was allowed a phone which she used to secretly upload videos. Ive seen that happen as a social worker. Gifts bought for the victim to try to diminish the abuse thatās going on.
They probably didnāt think it was any big deal because itās not like she had anyone to call or text.

Iāve been following this and I think Jordan was singled out in the end maybe because sheās pretty and had a talent of singing - so she was allowed the phone and used social accounts. My other theory is that Louise was managing the posts.
There is a lot missing from the story, still.

I saw many of the YouTube videos yesterday but theyāve been deleted, Instagram deleted but I took screen caps. Theyāre replaying the videos on many news sites with her face blurred. The twitter page is still up but thereās no pictures. Itās under Lacey Swan.

Plenty of people are now questioning the validity of the torture/abuse because this girl looks healthy and was using social media. I agree that itās bizarre, but I think she was being used or was the only one given somewhat special treatment.

She did not have a 'talent' for singing. Are you deaf?
The only plausible explanation for her having the phone is one of the parents got a new phone, removed the SIM card and either gave it to the kids as a 'toy' or they salvaged it from the trash. Obviously, the parents did not give a captive with no friends a phone so she could stay in contact with those nonexistent friends. People are so fucking dumb.
Videos were released by the defense to cast doubt on the torture/imprisonment charges.
I think the parents somehow found out about the videos and ramped up her punishments, which is what set her off to make a break for it.

Seems like she only used social media in the month up to her escape

Lacey Swan has hair that looks shiny and clean. I expected worse from what I heard about the hygiene in the family. She's also wearing makeup and is a huge Justin Bieber fan. This case gets weirder and weirder.

The hair is obviously uncombed and the floor is a mess and there is whispering at the end of the dog clip

The mother's sister claims she hasn't had contact with the family for over a decade, but it looks like they stayed in touch through social media.

Her punishment was having to wear Kylie Jenner's liquid candy k lipsticks all year since they were apparently only allowed to shower once a year. Her siblings' punishment was to listen to her sing all day.

The defense attorney for the ghastly, abusive Turpin parents claims because one child had social media access - ALL torture charges should be drppped.
For DLāers following the case. Itās ongoing.

Those damn kids got exactly what they deserved. They obviously were disrespectful to the parents and they must be disciplined in some way. When I was a kid my parents would really give me something to cry about if I went on for too long. Personally I think these ungrateful little shits need their asses beat more.

I had the opportunity to ask my state representative about doing something, anything, to keep track of homeschooled kids. I was thinking that if you had a kid you were keeping out of school, you would have to take the kid to a doctor once a year, maybe have a social worker do a walk-through of your home and a check on schoolwork. He said that another representative tried to get a bill passed to do something similar and the homeschooling parents fought hard against any regulation. I'd think homeschoolers would want to do something to prevent Turpin-like situations, but I guess not.

Even in abusive families ,there will often be scapegoats and favorites. The girl in the video looks healthier than the other kids, I wonder if the parents favored her and gave the other children worse treatment.

She was given the YouTube channel to throw the feds off the parents case.
