The most expensive restaurant in the world is Greek

BACCHANALIA is located in London, its construction cost 75 million British pounds, it is housed in the old Porsche garage, its statues are 2,000 years old, the works of art were created by Damien Hirst and its dishes are signed by a Greek chef.

The luxurious restaurant BACCHANALIA - which takes its name from a celebration in honour of the Bacchus God Dionysus - refers to ancient Greek and Roman feasts and orgies with lots of wine, music, food and beautiful people.

The flavours come to complement the incredible setting. Through the mastery of Athinagoras, the palates are dazzled with unprecedented flavours.

"The dishes are made with the most expensive ingredients. There are rare collections of caviar and also a lamb that I bring exclusively from Greece. In BACCHANALIA I exhausted my creativity!".

It's not really that expensive.

I've seen much more expensive than this.

Whoops, sorry op.

I thought you meant expensive to eat at.

But you meant it was the most expensive TO BUILD.

R2 Still not bad. That food sounds good!

London is ripoff central. I can't think of a more overpriced European city. Of course this restaurant would open there.

by Anonymousreply 8December 18, 2022 7:32 AM

The restaurant looks rather gaudy to me. The menu is nice.

There's a waiting list for the waiting list. Both require a non-refundable six figure fee and proof of net worth. And the owner has to like you (you must be trendy, young, heterosexual with supermodel looks, A-List and worth at least fifty billion dollars) on top of that before you're allowed to dine there.

ANd surprisingly, none of that crappy feta on the menu.

They should have forked out a bit more money for a decent copy editor. “Fromaggio” in the menu??!!

" The most expensive restaurant in the world is Greek"

So, 28 pages of different meats/dishes with the same brown gravy on each one? 🤔

Those overhanging statues are potential lawsuits waiting to happen.

^ Ok, but I'm sure they have building inspectors in London, so probably about as much chance as the ceiling falling in on you... Or, a giant fishtank exploding 😏

[quote]In BACCHANALIA I exhausted my creativity!

It certainly looks tired to me.

by Anonymousreply 20December 18, 2022 8:38 AM

Maybe the British Government could compromise and mount the Marbles here 🤔

"Hello, Bacchanalia? I'd like to reserve the orgy room for Saturday night"

What a fucking vulgar shithole.

by Anonymousreply 23December 18, 2022 9:06 AM

All that money, and it's clearly fake. What real Greek would call his restaurant by a derivative Roman name instead of the original Greek name Dionysia?

by Anonymousreply 24December 18, 2022 9:56 AM

All that when I can get a Gyro, Greek salad, and spanakopita down the street for $12.

by Anonymousreply 25December 18, 2022 10:18 AM

Why the hell does a Greek restaurant have a bust of the Roman Emperor Hadrian in its promos?

And why do they have a painting of a Roman orgy... with the fucking Golden Gate Bridge in the background?????

by Anonymousreply 26December 18, 2022 10:28 AM

Yes but can it whip up a mean tzatziki?

by Anonymousreply 28December 18, 2022 11:27 AM

Another tacky tourist trap.

by Anonymousreply 31December 18, 2022 5:30 PM

Very Caesar’s La Vegas.
